In the scene where Paul Rudd and Seth Rogen are talking about relationships, Judd Apatow felt it necessary to name-check Tutti amano Raymond (1996) "Every issue I'm talking about has been done better on 'Everybody Loves Raymond' at some point." Rogen also brings up the fact that there was a period of time where every time he saw Apatow he was writing unsolicited scripts of episodes for the sitcom.
