Yossarian's B-25 "Dumbo" was an older model B-25 aircraft, with its top gun turret towards the rear of the fuselage and an added tail gun position. Most of the B-25s in the film were newer models, with the top turret just behind the cockpit, tail guns, and fuselage window waist-gun positions.
