In addition to Freddy and Jason sharing the same universe here, they both also appear as extra/DLC characters in the Mortal Kombat games, although they do not appear in the same game. Freddy was in MK 9 (Mortal Kombat) and Jason was in MK X (along with other horror legends like Leatherface, Alien and the Predator), so there won't be a real showdown between Freddy and Jason in the MK games.
