A brief overhead shot of Cincinnati, Ohio, c. 1868 (represented by a matte painting), is included in the film. The John A. Roebling Suspension Bridge, a well-known Cincinnati landmark, is clearly visible, spanning the Ohio River. The bridge was designed by John A. Roebling, who later designed the Brooklyn Bridge. When it was completed in 1866, the bridge was then the longest suspension bridge in the world, with a 1,057-foot main span.
