Despite an apparent death in the novel, Pennywise has been seen or mentioned in the novels of Le creature del buio (1993) (Tommy sees a "clown with shiny silver dollar eyes" in the sewers and hallucinates red balloons), L'acchiappasogni (2003) (a plaque dedicated to the victims of a flood that occurred during the final battle is vandalized with "PENNYWISE LIVES"), and 22.11.63 (2016) (after Jake meets Richie and Bev after the childhood battle Pennywise taunts him about the time-portal).
