In reality, Anacondas have rounded pupils. In the film, the anaconda has slanted pupils to give it a frightening and villainous appearance. Slightly similar to how the shark in Steve Spielberg's "Jaws" has eyes that stay black throughout the movie, in an effort to give the shark a villainous appearance.
