(at around 55 mins) During the scene where the Avengers are discussing Loki and his scepter, Captain America reacts when he understands a reference to flying monkeys, when Fury says how Loki has put Hawkeye and Dr. Erik Selvig under his command with the scepter. This is a reference to Il mago di Oz (1939), where some of the Wicked Witch of the West's minions are large, winged monkeys. That movie was released in 1939, so Captain America could have seen it before he was frozen. Thor, being from another world, has not seen the film, and therefore does not get the reference.
