If you look at the characters of the cast in relation to the breakfest club you will note that there is a princess(Deliah) a jock(Stan) a brain(Casey) an outcast (Stockley) and a criminal (Zeke) stereotype. This is a big hint to who the alien is , as Marybeth is the only one, as a southern new girl, who doesn't fit the grouping
