Celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain visited the Far Cry set in Vancouver during a taping of his show Anthony Bourdain: Senza prenotazione (2005). This explains how Bourdain came to be cast in the small (and uncredited) role of a scientist who gets shot near the end of the movie.
