Jason Gedrick and Jerry Levine both starred in another war movie called L'aquila d'acciaio (1986). Coincidentally, Tom Cruise starred in another aviation film similar to that film called Top Gun (1986). Both movies came out in the same year and the dogfight scenes were based off of the 1981 Gulf of Sidra incident.
