The orange tubular frame with two black handles hanging in the cockpit of Ochi's ship is the same as in Apollo's lunar module (LM). In the LM, this frame is the guard of the Alignement Optical Telescope (AOT), used by Apollo astronauts for navigation. This is likely a nod to the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11 moon landing, which was celebrated in the year of the movie release.
