As of now, this is the only Terminator movie where the friendly Protector doesn't end up terminated. In the first one, Kyle Reese Dies. In the second, The Terminator sacrifices itself by melting his own chip. In the third, The Terminator explodes along with his foe. In the fourth, Marcus gives his heart to John Connor. And in the sixth, The Terminator gets destroyed along with the enemy.
