The fate of Harry Goodman in the Detective Pikachu game is left ambiguous, however the film reveals his whereabouts for most of the plot, however it is unknown if this is canon to the game as well as to the movie, as the plot of the film doesn't follow the plot of its source material exactly. The upcoming sequel for the Nintendo Switch is said to follow a different plotline from the movie.
