When Worth decides to stay in the cube, Leaven tries to convince him that he does have something to live for and that he can't quit right as they are about to leave. After Quentin ends up killing Leaven before she can leave the cube, Worth lies down beside her body, hinting that he considered her a friend and would rather die with a companion inside the cube, rather than live alone in the outside world.
