Towards the climax of the film, Patsy calls Emma her "touchstone". Within the next year after this movie's release, Paramount Pictures executives Michael Eisner and Jeffrey Katzenberg, who were somewhat responsible for getting the movie made, left that studio to preside over The Walt Disney Company, which had recently launched a film division dedicated to films not necessarily for children -- Touchstone Pictures. Under their watch, Touchstone produced several hit movies including Three Men and a Baby (1987), Pretty Woman (1990), and so on.
