When Bobby is playing in his bedroom with his train, Klaatu doesn't bother to knock on his door before entering and Bobby isn't given the opportunity to say "come in". It comes across as a creepy and rude but apparently Klaatu's upbringing is ignorant of common courtesy, especially with a relative stranger. It is plausible since his character is also scripted to be unfamiliar with common catch phrases, music boxes, playing cards, and answering Bobby's questions in relatively technical terms rather than simplifying it so a boy can understand.
