According to Helen Barlow's August 1991 article 'The Australian Film Finance Corporation' published in Australian film industry journal 'Cinema Papers' (p. 36), as cited in the 'Wikipedia' website, ''despite having chosen an American lead actor [Charlie Schlatter] and an American composer [Miles Goodman], with an eye to the American market, the film was never released [theatrically] in the United States, in part due to a problem with distribution. This led to the production company filing a lawsuit against Village Roadshow Pictures and the FFC [Film Finance Corporation]''.
