(at around 40 mins) When Jack prevents Rose from committing suicide, he shares a story about how he once fell into freezing cold water while ice fishing and how "it hits you like a thousand knives stabbing you all over your body." This was an actual quote to the American Inquiry from survivor 2nd Officer Charles Herbert Lightoller (played in the film by Jonny Phillips) describing the temperature of the North Atlantic water.
