The real-life murder of Bryan Kocis occurred in Dallas Twp. in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, in January 2007. Kocis' attorney, in his use of underage teen boys for Cobra Video, was Luzerne County defense attorney Al Flora, Jr. Al Flora, Jr. also represented Jeff Dennis, a Dallas Twp. cop who, in October 2007, was sentenced to life in prison for the 2006 killing of his wife, Carli, for having an affair. The murder of Carli Dennis by the Dallas Twp. cop was featured on a 2017 episode of Fatal Vows on the Investigative Discovery Channel.
