Connections between Knowing and the movie 2012: Both start in the year 2009, both deal with "Apocalypic" scenarios, both have Biblical references (Ezekiel / Genesis) and names (Caleb / Noah), both deal with numeric prophecies (Mayan / time capsule), both have series of tragic events leading to the final destruction, both of the survivors in the movies escape in "ships", and in both movies, the cause of the major cataclysmic event is the sun.
