At 46:18, while the camera is panning over City Hall in downtown Philadelphia, you can see the remains of the One Meridian Plaza building directly behind the William Penn statue. On February 23, 1991, a fire started on the 22nd floor and burned for over 19 hours, considered one of the worst high-rise building fires in history. The incident escalated to a 12-alarm response, and resulted in the deaths of three members of Engine Company 11 (Captain David P. Holcombe, Firefighter Phyllis McAllister, and Firefighter James A. Chappell). The fire spread to the thirtieth floor with limited resistance due to the lack of fire suppression sprinkler systems and large open office floor layouts. Following the fire, the burned-out shell of the building remained until it was finally demolished in 1999. You can clearly see most of the window spaces secured by plywood and burn patterns in this short clip.
