Richard Schiff plays a train operator when Howard Payne kidnaps Annie and hijacks a subway train in a scene that somewhat resembles Il colpo della metropolitana - Un ostaggio al minuto (1974). Schiff would later go on to star in The Taking of Pelham One Two Three (1998), where he plays a fired MTA worker and hijacker.
