When Hooker meets with Lonnegan in the hotel room, he greets the shorter bodyguard with "Hi Mutt" and the taller bodyguard with "Say Jeff." This is in reference to the popular newspaper comic strip of the day "Mutt and Jeff." However, in the strip, Mutt is tall and Jeff is short.
