For the lead role, Aamir had to wear two ear pieces behind his ear to make his ear come out like an alien. Aamir normally does have ears like those but the director Raju Hirani wanted it to come out even more. So, Aamir shot the whole movie with the ear pieces on. But it was still not easy. It had become so painful that they had to halt the shooting on one of the days. His ears had turned red. The actor put ice packs on both of his ears to comfort them as they had to continue shooting from the following day again. Aamir couldn't do anything, he had to bear the pain and go through the process of filming.Talk about bravery, really!.
