At the end of the movie Will Smith's character, Robert, and Regina King's character, Carla, are watching the senator who wanted to get the Monitoring Bill passed stating at a press conference that it is on hold. He also states "we have come to realize we need to monitor the people who are monitoring them." Regina King responds to this by saying "Who's going to monitor the monitors of the monitors." King appears as Angela Abar/Sister Night in Watchmen (2019), whose motto is "Who Watches the Watchmen?"
