The film originally ended with Edward, Audrey and Elvis standing in the Bromley Marks lobby and staring at the sunrise before fading to credits. The ending shot of Elvis' Trans am driving away from the city was filmed at the behest of test audiences who insisted it would be more upbeat for the film to show them escape to safety.
