According to the DP. It was not a happy shoot. Donald Sutherland got an attack of the divas and wouldn't be shot from low angles. This made it difficult for him to be filmed with shorter actors, he would often storm off set if his demands weren't met . Faye Dunaway insisted on being always lit from the front to hide blemishes and would use a mirror to check the refracted light. Again this made it almost impossible to light full scenes correctly.
