The movie depicts the miners receiving iPods in care package after they confirmed alive and later there is a brief fight between two miner when one is accused to stealing an iPod from another. Steve Jobs did in fact send 33 iPod Touch devices meant for the men as a gesture of support but they were withheld by the rescue team until after the men were rescued to avoid the possibility of the device causing isolation or conflict within the group similar to the depicted fight.
