UK podcast The Sandler Pit considered the film one of Sandler's more contentious offerings. Luke Terry wanted the film to be allowed residence in the highest turret of their hallowed 'Sandler Castle', but co-host Luke Thomas disagreed. A compromise was met where the pair 'Happy Madisoned' the film into a comedy crowd-pleaser, renaming it Pudding Boy, recasting Luis Guzman and Phillip Seymour Hoffman with Rob Schneider and Kevin James and replacing the the existential angst and crippling social anxiety with farts and comedy Tourette's.
