The character of "Pilar Estravados" actually appeared in another Agatha Christie mystery, Poirot: Hercule Poirot's Christmas (1994), first published in 1938. ("Estravados" was really a woman named Conchita Lopez, pretending to be a potential heiress.) There was no such character in Christie's 'Murder on the Orient Express' (first published on 1 January 1934) until the 2017 film version renamed and reimagined the character of Greta Ohlsson, a Swede, who was played by Ingrid Bergman in Assassinio sull'Orient Express (1974) (the first film version of the mystery.) Bergman won her third Academy Award for her performance.
