The film introduces a film version of district attorney Harvey Dent, who is typically portrayed as the civilian identity of the super-villain Two-Face. The character was created by writer Bill Finger and artist Bob Kane in 1942, and he has since served as one of Batman's most prominent foes. His name was originally given in the comics as "Harvey Kent", but it was changed to "Dent" in later appearances.
