Despite its success and longevity, and the fact that the show heavily relies on German folklore and language, none of the principal cast members were able to properly pronounce German correctly (as if there never was a dialect coach on set). Even the word "Wesen" (creature), which was used in basically every episode, is mostly pronounced like "Wessen" (whose).
