In the episode X-Files: Unusual Suspects (1997) (season five, episode three) Detective John Munch (Richard Belzer) interrogates the Lone Gunmen about the events that happened in it. It would set the series in the same universe as Homicide, Life on the Street (1993), Law & Order: Unità Speciale (1999), The Wire (2002), Law & Order - Il verdetto (2005), Arrested Development - Ti presento i miei (2003), 30 Rock (2006), after the several crossovers of Belzer as Munch outside of Law & Order's franchise. Unwittingly, it would set too in the same universe of Chicago Fire (2012), Chicago P.D. (2014), Chicago Med (2015), Chicago Justice (2017), after Hank Voight (played by Jason Beghe) appeared on Law & Order: Unità Speciale (1999) as well as all "Chicago" franchises.
