Both the Mummy and Nick have moments where their eyes split from one to two irises in each eye. This is resembles the supposed condition called polycoria, also known as the double pupil pupula duplex. This medical condition may be related to other eye mutations such as heterochromia (different colored irises); but many debate on if Polycoria is a real condition or an exaggerated myth, unlike the other eye disorders.
