The mansion's possessed caretaker, played by Marti Matulis, wore prosthetic appliances created by Gardner's team at Alterian Inc. The Caretaker was supposed to be 'one with the overgrown mansion,' so his makeup design incorporated roots and moss growing through and out of his skin.
