The phrase 'Stand on It' is one of this movie's two English titles and also the title of its source novel. The meaning of this phrase is, according to 'Racing Junky', a racing term for "when a driver depresses the gas pedal as far as possible". It's meaning is similar to the term "flat-out" which they define as "racing a car as fast as possible under given conditions".
