The drugs in the capsules Demian must ingest are: 25% Promazine (an anti-psychotic), 30% Olanzapine (an anti-psychotic), 15% Trileptal (brand name of Oxcarbazepine, an anticonvulsant or anti-epileptic), 15% Valproic acid (an anticonvulsant or anti-epileptic), 5% Phenobarbital (an anticonvulsant or anti-epileptic). Oxcarbazepine is the only active compound referred to by its brand name, Trileptal. The problem with this mixture is that some of these drugs counteract ones and potentiate others, and no medical specialist would prescribe them together for a long-term treatment.
