After finishing Jason va all'inferno (1993), Adam Marcus and Dean Lorey pitched a story that had Freddy and Jason portrayed as Hell's assassins. And Corey Feldman was imagined to return as Tommy Jarvis from Venerdì 13 - Capitolo finale (1984) through Venerdì 13: parte VI - Jason vive (1986), with Nancy Thompson from Nightmare - Dal profondo della notte (1984) and Nightmare 3 - I guerrieri del sogno (1987) to return as Creighton Duke protects them as a road trip story. Eventually revealing that Freddy and Jason were both resurrected by Satan who set the two up for only one of them to survive on earth as his assassin, depending on who would rank up the highest bodycount of innocent souls. And everytime Freddy killed someone, Jason would beat him up because he doesn't want him to win.
