Australian actress Yvonne Strahovski was under close consideration to take the part of Carol Danvers before Brie Larson was chosen. Both Strahovski and Larson played opposite of actor Michael C. Hall, with Strahovski in the Showtime series Dexter (2008-) and Larson in the film The Trouble with Bliss (2011).
