In the film, Mike makes a reference to the Wicked Witch of the East and the Wicked Witch of the West. They are both characters from the Oz novels by L. Frank Baum. The Wicked Witch of the East ruled the Munchkin Country in Oz's eastern quadrant, until she was killed by a cyclone. The Wicked Witch of the West ruled the Winkie Country, until she was accidentally killed by Dorothy Gale.
