Production designer Andrew Plumer "immediately loved the script, what was a bit daunting at first was that [director] Bill [Bennett] wanted to shoot it documentary style, but with the screen values of a feature film. That's a tough call." But once he realized that improvisation was the key to all of it, not just the dialogue, Plumer had a great time. "It's not the traditional formula, and it [is] as much art direction as design. It's not the biggest job logistically, but unconventional and highly exciting," he said.
