Sir Ridley Scott originally wanted Ripley to be fully nude in the shuttle scene to put the character in even more vulnerable situation, and he also wanted to show Alien getting sexually aroused by her. A similar scene was planned and possibly even filmed for Prometheus (2012) involving character Meredith Vickers, but was also dropped.
