Chance (Ken Stott) eye-gouging Highwayman Rob (Iain Robertson) is a nod to Blade Runner (1982), in which Roy Batty (Rutger Hauer) did the same thing to Dr. Eldon Tyrell (Joe Turkel). Director Jake Scott is the son of Ridley Scott, who directed Blade Runner (1982).
