In Norwegian, Swedish and Danish, all of the weekdays are from Norse mythology: Tuesday is tirsdag (Tyr's day), Wednesday is onsdag (Odin's day) and Friday is fredag (Frey's day). Sunday and Monday are in honor of Sol (the sun) and Måne (the moon). Saturday is lørdag, coming from laugardag, washing day.
