Three identical blonde girls appear in the background during a scene with Professor Xavier and Ororo. According to writer Zak Penn, those three girls were intended to be the Stepford Cuckoos, a trio of genetically engineered mutants who shared the same mind and could wield telepathic powers. The Cuckoos would make their official debut in The Gifted (2017).
