The hero, Korben Dallas, and the villain, Jean Baptiste Emanuel Zorg, never meet, nor do they communicate with each other in any way. They are aware of each other (Korben used to work for Zorg's company, and Zorg knows that Korben won the contest) but they are unaware of the other's involvement in the main plot (getting the stones). The only time they appear in the same scene together is at the end when Korben flees towards Fhloston's hotel's hangar while Zorg is just returning from it. They pass but just miss one another putting them in the same shot together for just a few frames.
