Andrew McCarthy would be seen playing the piano during one sequence of the film and later on would go on to star in the film "Anything But Love", in which his character is a professional piano player who teaches Isabel Rose, a real life Cabaret singer to play the piano professionally. Ironically, the film also took place in New York like this one is supposed to take place in.
