This film was an important milestone for Sharon Stone for a number of reasons. First, it was her first major leading role in a feature film. Second she became good friends with star Rock Hudson and as a result of his tragic death, became a lifelong crusader for AIDS research. And last she met her first husband, producer Michael Greenburg, on the set of this film.
