Numerous members of the local community theatre group, "Pennwood Players" were selected for bit parts in the movie. Another was Rita Stephenson, an actress with PPlayers and wife of local TV newsman Ron Stephenson, was a member of the infamous fan bus-base which followed the team on road trips with partying and mischief on their minds.
