In two instances, the climactic theme from John Boorman's Excalibur (1981) fittingly plays as the team proceeds to the vault. The first is when safecracker Dieter first sees the vault upon entering, he utters a brief monologue under his breath proclaiming the safe has been waiting for the worthy one (beginning of Excalibur). The second is when Dieter opens the vault with Vanderohe's assistance, indicating his monumental work has finished (end of Excalibur where Perceval returns the sword to the Lady of the Lake and Arthur's body is sailed to Avalon).
